Sharolyn Barton

Children’s Director

Sharolyn serves as the Director of Children’s Ministry here at CCF.  She has been involved in children’s ministry as a teacher for more than 30 years.  The Lord has given her a passion and love for children.  It is her prayer and strong desire to help these children grow up learning the ways of the Lord and come to love His Word, believe it, trust in it for all truth, and through it come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Though not educated as a teacher the Lord, in His wisdom He “honed” her teaching skills as she taught “Natural Childbirth” through Colorado Mountain College for 10 years.  She has also been involved in Women’s Ministry and has lead women’s Bible study for many years.  Her life verse so eloquently states the passion the Lord has placed in her heart for prayer and teaching.  1 Samuel 12:23: As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you.  And I will teach you the way that is good and right.
Sharolyn moved to Eagle in 1966 when she was 10 years old.  She and her husband, David, met in high school and have been “crazy” in love ever since!  Married for 40 years they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
She also works as a hairdresser, a career that she has done for 42 years, where her favorite clients are the CHILDREN!  Email Sharolyn

Board Members

Brian Hester

Brian began attending CCF in 2006 and joined the board of directors in 2015.  He enjoys the opportunity to serve as an usher and greeter and was truly blessed to be a part of two of the Calvary mission trips to the Dominican Republic.  Brian and his wife, Janet, moved from Southern California to Durango, Colorado, then most recently to Gypsum in 2005, working for Eagle County Schools (Brian as principal of Battle Mountain High School and Janet as a Technology Specialist working with the Student Management System).  Both have been semi-retired for the past six years.  They have three grown kids, as son (Kyle) and daughter (Kelly) living in the Denver area, and the youngest (Erin) is in Panama City, Panama.  They also have three young grandchildren and enjoy spending time with them at every opportunity.  Brian enjoys coaching and working with teachers in his spare time, hunting, fishing, golfing, skiing, biking, and camping as part of his full-time endeavor.

Jeff Dorman

Jeff was on staff with Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa from 1995 until 2006.  He was the founding Director of the Murrieta Hot Springs Conference Center and Bible College.  He also served as a senior administrator for the church and acted as their legal counsel.  His final years there were spent as general manager of KWVE-FM.  After he left CCCM, he returned to a business he helped found.  That business was sold, causing him to retire in 2014.  Subsequently, a good friend of his and senior pastor extracted him to be the administrative pastor at Calvary Chapel South Bay in Los Angeles.  Jeff has been married for 37 years to his wife Lori.  They have two children, both of whom are married.  Jeff and Lori presently live in Breckenridge, Colorado.
